Color sensors are typically used in automation technology. These control color or a color print, for instance, to ensure the correct component was installed. The fischertechnik Optical Color Sensor transmits red light, which is reflected to varying degrees by different colored surfaces. The quantity of reflected light is measured (by the phototransistor) and output in ROBO Pro as an analog value.
